Officers are appealing for information after a stolen campervan was linked to a commercial burglary in Poole.
Dorset Police received a report at 11.30pm on Friday 19 December 2025 that a white Volkswagen campervan had been stolen from an address in Hamworthy.
It was subsequently reported that the same vehicle was believed to have been used to transport three men to the Tesco Express store in Blandford Road in Hamworthy at around 3.50am on Saturday 20 December 2025.
The men forced entry to the premises and attempted to gain access to a till and cigarette stand but were unsuccessful and made off from the scene.
A report was received at 11.35am that same day that the vehicle had been located in Ashmore Avenue.
Police Constable Mark Matthews, of Poole police, said: “We are continuing to investigate these linked matters and I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Hamworthy area on the night of Friday 19 December into the early hours of Saturday 20 December 2025, to please contact us.
“I am also keen to hear from any motorists who may have captured relevant dashcam footage, or residents with home CCTV or doorbell camera systems that may assist our enquiries.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55250186564. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111. | ||
